HNC in Engineering at Pearson is eligible for Student Finance England funding: a tuition fee loan of up to £9,535 per year paid directly to the university, plus a maintenance loan of up to £13,762 per year for your living costs. There is no upper age limit — mature students apply through exactly the same process. Repayments only start once you earn over £25,000 a year.

Entry Requirement for Pearson
GCSE passes at grades A to C including English Language, and either a minimum of one A Level at grades ‘A’ to ‘E’, or a BTEC Level 3 Certificate or Diploma, or an Access to Higher Education Certificate awarded by an approved further education institution.

This must be evidenced via a personal statement, work experience form and successful interview, and supported by employment reference(s) indicating the duration of employment and the role.
